CZECH NIGHT

Czech night was taking place on 15th January in our Mladinski center. We promoted our night by posters and facebook event. We did not have any idea how many people will attend. Finally maybe 25 people came.
First I would like to say thank to all people who came and supported our event. It was really important for us and it showed us, who is really interested about our culture and also who is interested in us.
One of the biggest ,,thanks" belongs to our turkish friends- Hasan and Ugur, who came from Valenje (150 km) and without them our evening wouldn’t be what it was. Also I was really glad , how many people came from our slovenian circle. I was really happy to see you there! I can not forget to say thanks  also people from ŠENT (centre for mental health) who came. They had known us just one day and despite of the bad bus conection  (some of them  could stay just 45 minutes) they came! I really appreciate this!
and thanks also our slovenian friends who supported us and helped us with preparation!!

So our evening started with welcome drink- Slivovice and people really liked our czech version :) In Slovenia, they have also Slivovica. After we were presenting our country. We started with short powerpoint presentation about czech stereotypes, some comparions Czech/Slovenia and after we continued with some funny movie. I hope visitors appreciate our way of presenting (funny videos about our presidents- Václav Klaus and pen:), Miloš Zeman and his ,,medical" condition during visit of crown jewels).
But we also showed some interesting czech people, places which are in Unesco an so on.
After presentation we started with beer degustation and degustation of czech food.
So the most popular beer was PERLA :) and the worst was STAROČECH :) but generally people really liked our czech beers. We had about 15 different types of them so I think everybody enjoyed this degustation. Visitors also really liked BRAMBORAK, which I cooked and what almost nobody liked was UTOPENEC. But I was not surprised of Utopenec, because I think that the taste is really specific.:)

I hope everybody had nice evening and thank you again for your support!

Happy new year!

Hello everybody!
I am back with my adds:) All the best for the coming year! I hope you enjoyed Christmas holiday and you are full of energy.
So when I should start... Ok. Before Christmas we organized our second own event. The name was Izmenjava oblačila- Clothing swap. Here is short report and some photos:

Clothing swap bazaar was taking place on 14th December in Šotor pred Primorko. The main target was to swap the clothes, toys and books with the other people. The rest of the stuffs will be donated to the Hospital in Stara Gora. We were really happy that a lot of people came with their clothes, toys and books. But not so many people wanted to swap, so in the end we had lot of stuffs for Hospital in Stara Gora. The director of hospital was really pleased and happy, so everybody who came with their stuffs can have nice feeling for helping people in need.
We would like to thank everyone for their generosity. We hope that next time more people will come and will want to swap their clothes or help the disadvantaged people.

Our first hademade poster

I think this event was really good. Not so many people came with their stuffs, but we had a success. We got a lot of clothes from young man and the director was really happy because of that- they really need large men´s clothes. We plan to do this event again.

So this was before Christmas. We left in Czech aroud 18.12. but before we had our Postojna´s chrismas with Adam:) We found one tree in the forest who was already cut and instead of holder for tree we used summer wheel :)

Our Christmas tree- haha:), my first christmas cookies

Kdo jiný může obdarovat svoji přítelkyni prdicím polštářkem :D

And after our Christmas it was time to go to Czech! We shared our car with other two very nice girls- we found them in prevoz.org( slovenian version of Spolujizda) Journey was really funny, because our car got some special shaking disease. When we were over 90 km/h the car shaked like really old washmachine. We were afraid that car will fall apart but fortunately the way from Slovenia to Czech is almost always downhill. So we knew that we would reach the czechboarder at least by gravity.(It says Adam, but I know that our red car is strong guy who has never disappointed!)
We had amazing time there and I would like to say thank you my family for everything :-*
Here are some photos from czech Christmas (more for my friends from abroad)

But now we are back in Postojna and on Wednesday one big event is going to be! and it is CZECH EVENING! We bought a lot of czech beers, cheese, sweets and so on and we will present our country on Wednesday. We wanted to do something not so big, but today we got email that also television will be there:) and because we put on the posters that the beer degustation will be there, almost everybody who we know told that he/she will come:) So I am really excited and I hope that everybody will enjoy it!
This is all for today because today I am not so in english mood:)
